Before you bid

Frequently asked questions

Answers for facility managers, general contractors, and procurement departments. If your question isn't here, write to us.

Do you do residential work?

Our focus is commercial and industrial. We evaluate select residential projects, such as new homes, solar systems with backup, or larger installations. We do not do repairs or minor residential service.

Do you work as a subcontractor to general contractors?

Yes. Much of our work is for general contractors. We follow your schedule, your safety plan, and your submittal process, and we close out with the documentation the agency or the owner requires.

Do you have experience on government projects?

Yes, as the electrical subcontractor to general contractors on federal and municipal projects. We know the submittal, phased-inspection, and closeout-documentation requirements that public work demands.

What does an FJ proposal include?

Detailed scope, inclusions and exclusions, schedule, firm price, submittal list, and warranty terms. All in writing before we start.

How long does it take to receive a proposal?

We confirm receipt the same business day and agree on a delivery date based on the scope and, if it is a bid, the invitation deadline.

Do you cover the whole island?

Yes. We mobilize to all 78 municipalities, including the industrial corridors of the north, west, south, and east.

Who signs the certifications and drawings?

Electrical certifications are signed by the licensed master electricians on our team and drawings that require a stamp by a licensed engineering partner. Francisco González, electrical engineering graduate of UPR Mayagüez, directs design and execution.

Can you work without stopping our operation?

In most cases, yes. We plan outages outside shifts, staged transitions, and temporary backup when needed. The plan is agreed in writing with your operations manager.

What do you need to quote a commercial solar system?

Your last 12 months of LUMA bills, a photo or drawing of the roof or available land and, if it exists, the current one-line diagram. With that we prepare a preliminary estimate.

Do you handle LUMA interconnection and permits?

Yes. We prepare and follow up on the interconnection application and OGPe or municipal permits through approval.

Do you offer maintenance contracts?

Yes. Preventive contracts with a schedule, thermography, testing, written reports, and an agreed response time for emergencies.

Do you respond to emergencies?

For clients with a maintenance contract, yes, with the agreed response time. For facilities without a contract we evaluate availability case by case.

How do you warrant the work?

Every proposal includes in writing the workmanship warranty terms and the manufacturer warranties of the installed equipment.

Can you send prequalification documentation?

Yes. On request we send the prequalification package: capabilities statement, project references, and corporate documentation.

Send us the scope and we will prepare the proposal.
