Backup power: generators, ATS & batteries

In Puerto Rico, outages are part of operating. We design backup systems that start on their own and carry the loads that cannot stop.

What it includes

  • Critical-load analysis and sizing
  • Diesel, propane, and natural gas generators
  • Automatic transfer switches (ATS) and emergency panels
  • Battery systems and UPS for sensitive loads
  • Integration with solar for extended backup
  • Periodic testing, maintenance, and certification

Why FJ

Sized to the critical load

We work out what has to keep running and for how long.

Tested under real load

We test the automatic start before handing over the system.

Scheduled maintenance

We include the testing and maintenance plan so it starts when needed.

Frequently asked questions

Generator or batteries for a commercial building?

It depends on the length of the outages you need to cover and on the loads. For long outages and large loads, a generator. For sensitive loads and seamless transitions, batteries or UPS. In many facilities the right answer is both, combined with solar.

Can you install a transfer switch on an existing system?

Yes. We evaluate the existing service and panel, size the ATS, and coordinate the installation outage with your operation.

Send us the scope and we will prepare the proposal.
